Rockjumper is proud to announce our sponsorship of the Southern Bald Ibis monitoring programme, which monitors the annual breeding success rates of the Ibises’ breeding colonies in South Africa. Our donation assists in at least covering the fuel costs for the project monitors, all of whom are volunteers and receive no payment for their services.

Aside from monitoring the Southern Bald Ibis breeding sites, the project also contributes information which influences the placement of power lines, dams and other developments, all of which have an impact not only on the ibises, but also on other large and threatened species, including Blue, Wattled and Southern Crowned Crane.
