In December, the tour covers locations in Sri Lanka with a tropical climate, featuring warm temperatures ranging from 22-30°C (72-86°F), with occasional rainfall, particularly in Kandy, Horton Plains, and Yala National Park, while the coastal areas like Mirissa enjoy warm, sunny weather ideal for outdoor activities and wildlife viewing.

This was my last hard core birding tour, and I did it so that I could have David Hoddinott as my guide again. He is so very superb and I got quite teary giving him a hug goodbye! I also enjoyed Holly Faithfull a great deal. And our entire group was most delightful.
I have a great time on the Tour. This was my first time with Rockjumper Tours and I would 100% recommend to travel with them again. The Leaders always put the participants first in seeing the bird and made sure everyone could have time at the scopes. Very well organised and a pleasure to be on tour with. Stephan Lorenz did a great job of bird-finding and then managing to get everyone a chance to see the birds. Stephan provided lots of helpful tips about what to look and listen for and the general natural history of birds, kept us well-informed of the daily plans, and is personable and fun to be with. I'd love to be on another of his tours.
Another amazing trip with Rockjumper. The quality of not only the Rockjumper guides but the local guides as well was first class. Travelling with Rockjumper means you basically don’t have to worry about anything other than getting the birds in the binoculars, the guides take care of the rest which results in a really relaxing and enjoyable bird watching trip.
