A captivating journey through Costa Rica's most diverse and iconic wildlife habitats. From the lush Caribbean forests of Tirimbina to the misty cloud forests of Monteverde, the expansive and biodiverse Guanacaste region, and the stunning Pacific Coast, this tour offers unparalleled opportunities to observe a remarkable array of wildlife. Witness sloths, monkeys, tapirs, and even jaguars in their natural habitats. The tour pace is moderate, with ample time for exploration and wildlife observation in each location.
Epic megafauna like Jaguar and Baird’s Tapir, along with the various sloths and monkeys and even the rarely seen Silky Anteater. To boot we will be traveling with a bat biologist who will show us many roosting species of bats in the forests and caves and even in the hand while mist netting under permit for his scientific research. A very special opportunity indeed!
The tour covers habitats including Caribbean forests, cloud forests, dry forests, rainforests, and mangroves.
The climate ranges from tropical humid to temperate in the cloud forests.

Bobby Wilcox was a good guide. Calm and knowledgeable. The food and accommodation were both very good, Better than I expect.
Adam and the local guide, were exceptionally good, both at making sure the logistics were taken care of and locating, identifying and making sure all of us on the tour saw the bird. Both were the finest I've ever experienced at identifying birds by their calls. All in all, a really terrific trip with over 300 species of birds sighted! A special shout-out for Hotel Robledal. While the hotel is older, the family that owns and runs it are wonderful hosts with an exceptional appreciation for the environment. Returning to Hotel Robledal at the end of the trip felt like coming home. Thanks Rockjumper, for a terrific trip! "
Super tour and the excellent guiding services were made even better by the presence of our driver who could be a bird guide in his own right.
Adam is an extremely hard working, energetic and enthusiastic person who is able to remain calm and collected under extreme pressure and is always willing to help and assist anyone in need. His ability to find elusive birds for clients is legendary and almost miraculous. He is not feint-hearted and never daunted by challenging circumstances.
I can say it was a great tour. Forrest and Richard were fantastic leaders. I would bird with them anywhere.
