The climate in Hemis National Park during winter is extremely cold, with temperatures often dropping below freezing, dry conditions, and occasional snowfall, creating a harsh but stunningly beautiful environment ideal for spotting Snow Leopards

Tour Pace & Walking

MODERATE TO CHALLENGING: This tour requires a good level of fitness, stamina, and overall health. It’s best suited for experienced birders who are comfortable with a more active itinerary. Please note that it may not be ideal for avid photographers, new birders, or those with mobility or health concerns.

The tour maintains a moderate to challenging pace, with acclimatization days in Leh followed by daily treks and wildlife spotting in the high-altitude terrain of Hemis National Park, allowing for ample rest and acclimatization periods.

Accommodation

Stay in comfortable hotels in Leh and simple, well-equipped campsites in Hemis National Park.
