Our voyage traverses some of the most interesting areas in the Southern Ocean; including South Georgia, Gough Island, the Tristan da Cunha archipelago, and St. Helena. From famous and historical to incredibly remote, we take in a part of the world conquered by only the hardiest, Sir Francis Drake, Captain James Cook, Sir James Clark Ross, Sir Ernest Shackleton, and Roald Amundsen. Not only can we expect an incredible array of avian and mammalian encounters, but equally some of the harshest, most impressive vistas known to man. Some of the most sought-after species on this cruise include Wandering & Light-mantled Albatrosses, Northern & Southern Royal Albatrosses, King, Magellanic, Macaroni, Adelie & Chinstrap Penguins, Magellanic Diving Petrel, Snow, Antarctic, Blue, Kerguelen, White-headed & Great-winged Petrels, Antarctic Prion, Southern Fulmar, Black-bellied & Grey-backed Storm Petrels, Chilean Skua and Dolphin Gull.

What our clients say about us

Adam Riley
RC, Antarctica 2022

We had the most incredible trip, with perfect attention to every possible detail, and to have the added trip to the Penguin Colony on the Falklands was a cherry on the top. The guides were both attentive, and engaging at all levels with every member of the group, as well as helpful to non Rockjumper guests, which made a great impression on them too. Thank you for an overwhelmingly awesome tour.

I have been on other Rockjumper tours so I knew to expect excellent guides and was not disappointed. I was also very impressed with Quark Expeditions they were great. I would also like to add that Sarah Dell made the process prior to the cruise a comfortable experience. She responded to my questions quickly and was very patient in going over things that she had already covered months before

Daniel Danckwerts

Adam and Daniel made this trip extra enjoyable. The quality and diligence of their attention to all of the Rockjumper clients was simply phenomenal. I cannot use enough superlatives to describe the entire Rockjumper Team. The Ocean Victory seemed to be a perfect fit, with excellent staff and a sometimes-wearying dedication to safety.

This tour was extraordinary, very well organized despite vagaries of the weather at times. The ship crew were very well trained and experienced helping people get on and off the zodiacs. Very smooth operation. The guides Adam and Dan were phenomenal and very helpful in locating fast moving seabirds from a heaving deck! Niki was quietly working behind the scenes making sure everyone was enjoying the cruise.

An expedition of a lifetime well worth every penny! As a member of the Survivors of 2019 Club it was a very special tour. From the outstanding service by the expedition staff and crew on the extremely comfortable Quark Ocean Diamond to the always fabulous Rockjumper guides including Glen and Keith Valentine and Mark Beevers, it was the trip of a lifetime. The totally unexpected closeup sightings of Emperor Penguins and the tens of thousands of the six other penguin species was so much fun. Fur Seals and Elephant Seals sunbathed on the beaches as the many species of seabirds flew overhead. The trip to the Black-browed Albatross nesting sight was like something you only expect to see on tv. I felt the Quark crew and the Rockjumper guides went out of their way to make sure everyone had the perfect and safe trip.
