As part of our ongoing conservation initiative, we will be donating all these various Southern African bird field guides to the Karkloof Conservancy and some community schools in the surrounding area. This conservancy consists of local landowners whose aim is to preserve the exceptional biodiversity in the Karkloof (a range of forested hills in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal region), and who are actively involved in a number of neighboring community projects in order to foster this objective. Our small donation is intended to promote an interest in the region’s birds and, in so doing, to hopefully encourage their ongoing preservation.
