In January 2011, David Shackelford and Ric Zarwell teamed up to represent Rockjumper at the annual Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival. Hosted in Florida for the fourth consecutive year and with thousands of birders and nature enthusiasts in attendance, the Space Coast Bird Festival had something to keep every keen birder entertained – from birding optics and travel, to a wide variety of lectures and silent auctions. David and Ric also led participants on several field trips to nearby forest and wetland reserves. Ric represented Rockjumper at the Point Reyes Birding Festival from 29 April to 2 May 2011. Markus Lilje was the face of Rockjumper at the SASOL Birds and Birding Fair held in Johannesburg on 28 & 29 May. Rockjumper will also be at the Midwestern Bird Symposium in Ohio from 15 to 18 September, so if you are attending then please visit our booth!

We also plan to have representatives at several other birding festivals across the Americas and Europe, so do look out for us! We are already gearing up for the annual British Birdwatching Festival from 19 to 21 August, and look forward to meeting our many friends who attend this massive birding extravaganza.
