Yeray was born and raised in the Canary Islands, where he started working in wildlife rescue right after he got his Veterinary Medicine degree. He specialised in raptors, his life-long passion, and got hooked on birding while doing conservation work in the field, first in Spain and later in Central America, where he worked with both the Orange-breasted Falcon and the Harpy Eagle. He is very passionate about travel and enjoys every single place he’s been to, having a sweet spot for the Himalayas. Yeray has led birding tours to Belize, Cuba, India, Madagascar, Morocco and Spain.
